Sometimes it's just better to lose an election

I’m not calling the parties equivalent. I am saying the Democrats are corrupt.

Oh, gimme a break. If you say:

then you’re saying that any differentiation between them is comparatively trivial.

No, that’s just what you are saying because you can’t distinguish gradients between black and white and can’t except that both sides fall below an acceptable line even if one is still much worse than the other. If we grade on a curve we can only expect the standards to continually lower.

Also, I’d probably agree with you most of the time but I’m suffering for a severe optimism shortfall at the moment, which I hope is temporary. Maybe I should stop paying attention to the news.

I have to agree. Given how low things have sunk now, I fully expect a future GOP presidential candidate who:

  • Is caught on tape saying that it’s perfectly acceptable to chain a woman up and keep her as a sex slave in your basement. “Everyone I know would love that”.

  • Is fond of shouting “Lynch the n…” at his campaign rallies

  • Proposes issuing guns to white citizens so they can shoot illegals in the head.

  • Made his fortune selling diluted baby formula to third world countries, which resulted in thousands of baby deaths.

  • Shot a minority teenager in a mall parking lot for “looking at his car funny”. Was never convicted.

And this hypothetical candidate would get 45% of the vote

nm

You really believe that?

Obviously he doesn’t. If that candidate were a celebrity of the right kind he would get 46.1% of the total vote.
