I watched Vfor Vendetta recently. I can honestly say that I’ve never seen a more wooden performance than Natalie Portman gave.

Really? are you sure your not confusing her in V for Vendetta versus Star Wars 1-3?

Agree with Lissener that The Pidgeon’s performance in The Shield was absolutely fine. Fine in a way that someone like Andie MacDowell would never manage. I do find her appalling in stuff like Heist or The Spanish Prisoner, though. Mamet’s style just weighs heavy on her it seems. I mean the Heist in particular was a giganitc ham-fest really, but everyone else in it managed to pull it off OK.

I (and my girlfriend) thought she was godawful on The Shield (which Mamet was also involved in at the time). She reads lines like someone in a regional car insurance commercial.

I don’t know if Michelle Rodriguez is a bad actress as much as she seems to be the “the tough chick” in everything I’ve seen her in. I don’t like any of her characters, but it may be because they seem to the same character.

But Juliette Lewis?

I can’t stand her. She’s wooden and she’s always the dumbass chick or at seems mildly autistic when on screen.
