Lindsay Lohan and a Prairie Home Companion. I’ve never seen her before or since, except in the grocery checkout line, but wow, was that just a target audience maneuver?
This thread was meant to be about Kevin kostner.
In fact Kevin Kostner was born to have this thread made about him.
Costner doesn’t need to act, apparently.
Boobs. Too late for the edit. Why do I assume his last name begins with a K?
Because you hope his middle name is Kristlethwaite?
I was thinking along those sort of lines now you mention it.
Or Keanu. That’s who the thread is really about.
NB Is it me or does :dubious: look like Roger Moore?
Roger Moore invented :dubious: . The Rock (or whatever his trailerpark name is) is a pale immitation.
Not enough mousse.
I’d like to nominate Andie MacDowell next, can’t watch anything with her in it.
(except Groundhog Day, that’s OK, right?)
Groundhog Day is more than OK. It’s one of my fave films, but not because of Andie Macdowell obviously.
I loved the whole idea of being able to retry a whole day over and over again. And the idea of being able to accumulate knowledge through each retry (which enabled the guy to learn the Piano)
Yep, that’s who I came in here to post about. His Shakesperean acting is so close to the Critic episode that spoofed it that it’s not funny.
Not one person in Malevolence could act their way out of a paper bag. That’s just one reason it’s one of the worst horror movies ever made. Homage my foot…
Try Season Two of Slings and Arrows for quality Keanu mocking.
‘Whoa’
Denise Richards in “Tomorrow Never Dies Another Day Is Not Enough”
All I have to say is, “Phew!! Who farted??”
A buddy of mine used to always say “and starring Kevin Costner AS Kevin Costner.”
Poor Mr. Costner. He tries so hard.
John Wayne was also pretty much John Wayne in all of his movies. The difference here is that John Wayne was entertaining while Kevin Costner Is…Kevin Costner.
Same thing with Sam Eliott. Up until Golden Compass, I had some vague realization that he always played Sam Eliott, but this brought it into stark reality since the character was somewhat out of place.
Lindsay Lohan was really good in A Prarie Home Companion. Unfortunately, her actual talents are overshadowed by her disastrous personal life.
Kevin Costner is really good in the right kind of comedy. He has a bad habit of overreaching, trying for big dramatic parts that don’t suit him.
Keanu Reeves nailed his part in Devil’s Advocate. Maybe it takes the right part and the right director to break him out of his usual persona.
All these people can act, given the right circumstances. Maybe we should be talking about Rebecca Pidgeon.
It took me a while to be able to admit it, because she’s so darn cute, but Ashley Judd just can’t act all that well. There, I said it. The shame!
