Song ID - classical track from the film Hope and Glory.

Obviously, given the film’s title, Google is not helping.

In the film Hope and Glory, a British film set in WWII, there’s a scene where the Mum plays a classical tune on the piano and the camera then pans over bomb sites. It’s a melancholy tune that they refer to as “Old Fred” and I often get it stuck in my head. Searching years ago informed me that Old Fred refers to Friedrich Handel. None of his tracks I can find match this tune, however.

I can’t find a clip of the specific scene online, so only those who remember the film or have it to hand will know what I’m referring to. Anyone?

It is a sad state of affairs when Yahoo! Answers trumps the SDMB; however:

If that’s the one, then “Old Fred” is Frederic Chopin.

Also, I think that link is dead. Try this:

ETA: Oh, and I googled “Old Fred” “Hope and Glory” to find that.

Wonderful - that is it. Thinking it was handel was throwing my searches off. Maybe I should just have messaged you directly.
