Glen Campbell is a musical genius; Steve Martin is a, well, a freaking genius.
Circa 1978, these two appeared on the Tonight Show, and sang a song called, if memory serves, “Too Old”.
Anyone remember this? I seek lyrics, etc. (A google search turns up nothing promising).
I don’t recall the song, but it makes perfect sense they’d play together. Glen was a semi-regular on the old Smothers Brothers show back in the 1960s, when Steve Martin was one of their writers. During the summer, Glen had a 13 week series that replaced the Smothers Brothers, and I’m pretty sure Steve Martin wrote sketches for Glen’s show during that time.
