Song Title...

I’m looking for a song from the 80’s…Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I cannot seem to remember the name of the song or the band that played it.

Worse, it was a song with no words…~hangs head in shame~ thus making your mission more difficult.

It was a instrumental, and very well known…

Bum bum, bum bum da bum bum, bum bum, bum bum da bum bum…dum dum dum ba dum dum dum dum

Ok, that really probably doesn’t help a lot, I know, but that’s the best I can sing it here. ~grins~ I could tell you that it came out before 1986, because I remember hearing it while riding the “Gravitron” at the fair with my best friend, and she moved in 85 or 86. It was sort of early techno, but I’m just rambling now.

If anyone knows what I’m talking about, please remind me what this song was called.

Legs - Art of Noise

?

I don’t think so, that doesn’t sound familar…

I want to say this song might have been in a movie, but I certainly couldn’t swear to it.

Thanks for the post though ~L~ I know I’m asking for a lot with such crappy information…since you can’t hear me sing it.

Can you give any indication of how the melody line goes? (i.e. each note up or down from the last?) Perhaps rhythm? How far apart are the bum bums?

I think it is Axel’s Theme from the Beverly Hill’s Cop movies - by Harold Faltemeyer.

If I am right - then good job on the bum bums!!

I second Iguana Boy. That tune is exactly what came to mind.

~jumps up and down~ That’s it!! That’s it!!!

Oh, I forgot to say thank you!
