Every once in a while the chorus of a song will pop into my head and I’ll think how spectacular the song is, but then when I hear the whole song I realize that the chorus is the only great part of the song. This might be the result of a writer coming up with a great chorus and then just half-assing some verses to go with it, or it might be that the chorus is so well conceived that there is no verse worthy to complement
What songs can you think of in which the chorus is rockin’ (I mean really great) but puts the rest of the song to shame?
