I was listening to the radio yesterday, and a song that I really liked came on. It was manufactured pap, but it was CATCHY manufactured pap, dammit, and I just had to turn up the radio.
I was in the midst of thinking “I really should get this CD” when the song ended… and I completely forgot what the song was. Or any of the lyrics. Or the tune. The song just completely fell out of my head.
DAMMIT!
Radio stations really need to put up their entire day’s playlist on the internet.
I strongly agree! Countless times I’ve heard some piece while driving home, and I think to myself “I must get hold of that” but I wasn’t paying attention when they gave the name at the start of the song, but don’t give it at the end!
Was it that one that goes "da da de da da along with the guitar and drums and bass and piano? And there’s someone singing? And some background singers too? I know the song ! Just can’t remember the name…crap !!!
Luckily, my car has the radio that displays the artist name and song name as it’s playing. I keep a pad and pencil handy to write these down.
I try to catch a line of the song and keep repeating it to myself until I get a chance to google the lyrics. I got “All These Things That I’ve Done” by the Killers that way. (guess which line I memorized!)
