Makes me think of Slap Shot, filmed two years later.
“Tiny Dancer” from Almost Famous. It ties the two halves of the movie together as the band bonds, realizing they are in the business because they REALLY love music.
The OP said only one song per movie, but the film’s ending credits song “Feel Flows” by the Beach Boys would also be a good choice.
Another great Beach Boys song at the end of a movie is “God Only Knows” from Boogie Nights.
