Anything by Radiohead
One song I had on repeat for an hour before my girlfriend came in and confiscated the CD - Last Goodbye by Jeff Buckley.
About 2 years ago, one of the local radio stations was changing over to a different genre, and was trying to build up their listeners for the new station. I want to say they went from country to rap, but I don’t really remember.
For a week straight, they continuously looped the same song, an updated version of Wild Thing. (I don’t remember who it’s by…) Surprisingly enough, it worked. People were hooked to the song, and listened to it over and over again for the whole week. After that thing ended though, they haven’t played the song since…
“I need fifty dollars, to make you holler…I get PAID to do the wild thang!”
I miss that song…if anyone knows who sings it, please let me know…
Desire - U2
Dave Matthews Band - Tripping Billies
Oasis - Champagne Supernova
That’s my list.

Tone Loc.
They Might Be Giants—Shoehorn with Teeth, The Spiraling Shape, James K. Polk

Julian Cope—World Shut Your Mouth
Cole Porter—Anything Goes, as performed by Cole Porter himself.
Tesla is one of my favorite groups of all-time (GREAT reunion tour! WOO HOO!) My admiration for this group started with Love Song so I’ve been known to listen to that song over and over and over again. When I finally started listening to some of their other stuff, the need to listen to Love Song in a continuous loop for days dwindled quite a bit, but it’s still one of my favorite songs. I get goosebumps when I hear it, even on 100 degree days.
I meant to preview, but I hit the wrong button. :o
Anything Is- Enya
You Get What You Give- New Radicals
Crazy Train- Ozzy Osbourne
Home- Depeche Mode
I’m Your Boogeyman- White Zombie
Paradise City- Guns 'n Roses
Right now I’m alternating between Rufus Wainwright’s “California” and Shirley Bassey’s Away Team Mix of “Where Do I Begin?” I swear, if I didn’t already have a boyfriend, and Rufus wasn’t gay, and he knew me, I would marry him.
Mexico - Cake
Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne (Oh how I love the beginning of that song!)
I can listen to those songs for hours on end.
Since my favorite songs change on at an at least weekly, if not daily basis, I’ll give you the ones I’ve played on a loop(or at least 25 time each in a row) this week:
[li] Bleed American- Jimmy Eat World[/li][li] Say it Ain’t so- Weezer[/li][li] Extemis- Hal feat. Gillian Anderson[/li][li] At The Movies- Alien Ant Farm[/li] The Shame of Life- Butthole Surfers
grrrr…I missed the one I’m listening to now!
How you Remind me- by Nickleback
The Itzy-bitsy Spider
Whenever I listen to the album Melt by Straightjacket Fits, the song “Down in Splendour” gets played about three or four times before moving on. It’s just so incredible.
With or without you U2
Jeff Buckley singing Benjamin Britten’s Corpus Christi Carol
Andreas Scholl singing anything at all (drool, drool!)
When I am laid in earth from Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, especially as sung by Emma Kirkby or Susan Graham
Tears in heaven Eric Clapton
Arvo Part’s Seven Magnificat Antiphons
Can listen to these things all day, all week, all year.
right now i an stuck on tinsley ellis-sweetpea from the kingpin cd. (it’s not sweetpea, won’t you dance with me, just has the same name)
and he does a really great version of days of old ,i can hear ad nausem
Oh my! Don’t even get me started on Rufus! I could listen to any of his songs on repeat for eternity, but if I had to choose, it’d be “A Rose That Needs Some Water.” He hasn’t released it, so the only version I have is bootlegged and filled with background noise and chatter, but it doesn’t even matter. There is no song better than that.
TMBG: Spacesuit
Edith Frost: Cars and Parties
R.E.M.: Oddfellows Local 151 (but only when I’m in a really lousy mood)
