Songs to kill me (working out)

I’ve been using an elliptical for a few weeks and have a playlist I listen to when I use it, it’s pretty short though and the songs get old. I’d like things in the same style though, namely songs that will make my heart explode if I try to keep up with their energy. Right now the playlist has:

Through the Fire and Flames and * Fury of the Storm* by DragonForce
Master of Puppets and Battery by Metallica
Fucking Hostile by Pantera
Payback by Slayer
Hush by Deep Purple
Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Metal works out the best usually, but I’m open to anything.

Bodies by Drowning Pool

*Parabola * by Tool
Stand Up by Stromkern

“Jesus Built My Hot Rod” by Ministry.

The Thing I Hate - Stabbing Westward
Scum of the Earth - Rob Zombie
More Human Than Human - White Zombie

Those three are always top of my list for workout mixes, I’ll go through what else is in my playlist and see what I can find that meets your criteria.

*I’m Alive * by Jackson Browne

All About You by Berzerker

Try “Spellbound” by Siouxsie and the Banshees, but don’t blame me if your heart really does explode.

Dope - [URL=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Spin_Me_Round_%28Like_a_Record%29 would probably fit your bill.

Argh, the band is Dope, the song is a cover of “You Spin Me Right Round”. I missed the bad coding. :smack:

Second nomination for More Human than Human.

Zombie from the Cranberries is pretty good too.

Always liked Let’s Go All the Way by Sly Fox.

I am partial to volume II of the Halo 2 soundtrack. Starts out slow for the warm-up and then speeds up fast.

Put The Pixies version of Head On into your mix. Two and a quarter minutes of workout perfection.

From my workout playlist that kind of goes with what you’ve already got -
I Want To Be Sedated - Ramones
Head like a Hole - NIN
Click Click Boom - Saliva
Slither - Velvet Revolver

The Jonny Quest Theme, as covered by the Reverend Horton Heat. Seriously.

Machinehead - Bush
Sabotage - The Beastie Boys
Controversy - Eminem

Anything by The Dead Kennedys.

My two favourite eliptical work-out songs:

Knights of Cydonia by Muse (trying to keep up with this one near the end just about kills me)

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk

**Family Affair ** by Mary J. Blige

My thread didn’t go very far, and I don’t think that there’s anything mentioned in it that isn’t in here, but in the interest of completeness… http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=413891&highlight=workout
