Songs with group member's names in the lyrics

Meet The Wainwrights

Music starts at about 2:10.

The ultimate example might be Peter Frampton.

Sure, he starts off with a quick “Woke up this morning, with a wine glass in my hand; whose wine? What wine? Where the hell did I dine?” And soon enough, he gets to asking the audience Do You Feel Like I Do?

Later in the song, he backs off and Bob Mayo does an electric-keyboard solo, which (a) prompts Frampton to cry out “Bob Mayo, on the keyboards! Bob Mayo!” This (b) is followed by Frampton asking the audience Do You Feel Like We Do?

Clarence Carter - Strokin’ (NSFW)

“She’d say: ‘Clarence Carter, Clarence Carter, Clarence Carter
Clarence Carter, ooh shit, Clarence Carter’”

“Stroke it Clarence Carter, but don’t stroke so fast.
If my stuff ain’t tight enough you can stick it up my…”

Dude liked to say his name lol.

Mentioned in the OP.

It’s never really been resolved whether “shout-outs” count as lyrics. But if they do, in the Beatles’ cover of the Carl Perkins song “Honey Don’t,” Ringo introduces the guitar solos by calling out “Rock on, George.”

And have we really gotten this far without mentioning Bo Diddley, whose first big hit was a song called “Bo Diddley,” which was about a guy named Bo Diddley who bought his baby a diamond ring?

Ringo sung about his “Paul, George, and my friend John” in his song “Liverpool 8

Callouts to the band on live songs are pretty commonplace, but I really love the way Taj Mahal calls out “John Hall” in the live version of “Ain’t Gwine Whistle Dixie Any Mo’”. He also mentions Howard Johnson and John Simon after each one solos.

Each of the members of Cheap Trick is referenced in the outro of “Surrender.” We later find out that they’re all all right. They’re all all right!

Not many bands admit to having a rummer.

And Overend is his real middle name.

I don’t think this and many similar examples given in this thread is what the OP is going for. I don’t consider examples like this as being “in” the lyrics. I don’t even think the examples that are similar to the beginning of Ballroom Blitz are really in the lyrics even though probably are on a lyrics sheet. Its just getting ready to perform and has nothing to do with the main idea of what’s happening in the lyrics. The examples in the OP are band member names really “in” the song.

Captain Sensible - 'Wot"

"*He said captain
I said wot

He said captain
I said wot

He said captain
I said wot d’ya want*"

On Billy Joel’s “It’s Still Rock And Roll To Me” before the sax solo, Billy says “All right, Rico!”
“Rico” is Richie Cannata, Joel’s sax player for many years.

Ringo says “Ah, rock on George, one time for me” and “Ah, rock on George, for Ringo one time” in Honey Don’t.

John Entwistle mentions Keith in “Cell Number Seven”:

*Me and Moonie were in cell number seven
He dribbled on my jacket in cell number seven
Snored like a goat
Ruined my coat. *

I did not know that- thanks.

Actors Dennis Waterman and George Cole released a Christmas novelty record as their characters -** Terry ‘Terrance’ McCann** and Arthur ‘Arfur’ Daley - from the long lasting UK drama (it became increasingly a comedy) Minder which originally ran from 1979-1994.

In the song What Are We Going To Get For 'Er Indoors? the lyrics continually include call outs to ‘Terrance’ and ‘Arfur’.

For those unfamiliar with the show, 'Er Indoors is how Arfur always referenced his never seen but frequently mentioned wife.

NRBQ did at least two tribute songs to their manager at the time, “Captain Lou” Albano*, who also appeared on the album “Lou and the Q”.

I’m gonna stick with “The Guiding Light,”
Captain Lou, Captain Lou Albano
Lou don’t worry 'cuz it’s figured in
Captain Lou, Captain Lou, Captain Lou
And he’s got sharp teeth like Rin Tin Tin
Captain Lou, Captain Lou Albano"

*Albano was a professional wrestler who also starred as Cyndi Lauper’s father in the “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” video.

Blossom Dearie sings: “Some think I’m snappy. Some call me honey. And some think I’ve got money. But Ray Brown told me that I was built for speed” in Dearie’s Blues.

Another from Sublime:

Caress Me Down
“Mucho gusto, me llamo Bradley
I’m hornier than Ron Jeremy”

The Specials, “Enjoy Yourself (It’s Later Than You Think)”: “Hello, I’m Terry. I’m going to enjoy myself first.”

Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney The Girl Is Mine

Michael, we’re not going to fight about this, okay
Paul, I think I told you, I’m a lover not a fighter
I’ve heard it all before, Michael, she told me that I’m her forever lover
