A minor digression. I’m your typical baby-boomer who thinks three-chord rock made America great. I hate rap. I hate country music. I also hate opera. I have always been fearful that someone someday would write a country-rap opera and it would be a huge hit from which the synergistically awful music would be inescapable. Hearing about so-called “hick hop” has rekindled that fear.
