Songs You Use to Cheer Yourself Up

Chicago.

Album: Chicago V

And yes, it’s a good song.

“Walking on Sunshine,” by Katrina and the Waves

Always raises my mood level a notch or two

Saturday Night Fever soundtrack makes me sing along, dance, and … clean my house??? Gives me an utter excess of energy to hear that “you can tell by the way I move”…

Wow! You guys have come up with some really neat selections. If I ever get an iPod I have a pre-made songlist.

Side note: When I clean the house I put on Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers. THey give me the energy and bounce I need to vacuum and do the dishes.

Baby Come Back, by The Equals.

As one might guess from the song’s title, it’s about a lost love. But it’s got such an infectious riff that it makes you want to hop about the room!

Can’t help but get happy when listening to, but don’t know why:
Wavelength – Van Morrison

If I can turn up the stereo to extreme (all 500+ watts) and get right up next to it so I can -feel- it… Mama, I’m Coming Home – Ozzy
The song is sad, but makes me happy anyway: Walkin on Broken Glass – Annie Lennox.

And similar to a previous mention: Dear Abby – John Prine. Well, anything by Prine except Sam Stone.

And I’ll have to get even with you somehow if you tell this to anyone else:
Breakout – by Swing Out Sister :o ( I could be wrong on title and artist, since I don’t actually own this one)
