I am playing “Sonic the Hedgehog” on the Sega Mega Drive II. However, I cannot get past Green Hill Zone Act 3. After Act 1 and 2, I get to this stage in the game, and then Robotnik hits me with the pendulum-like ball, and I lose all my rings, after 3 hits the game is over. Anyone know how to get beyond this?

Egg-O-Matic Attack!:- Ball ‘n’ Chain
This boss is much easier if you have Invincibility, (see Green Hill Zone, Act Three), but still not very difficult without it. Get in at least a couple of hits when he first appears. When he gets the ball out, hit him until your Invincibility runs out. Then, hide in a corner and duck, so he can’t hurt you. When his back is turned, jump on to the platform above you and hit him. When you have hit him eight times, Robotnik’s Egg-O-Matic will explode and you can run right to free the animals from the Prison Egg.
From the previous section, the invincibility mentioned is found in trees. Hope that helps.
Yeah, ducking in a corner is the ticket. Just wait until the ball starts moving away before attacking. Once you get the timing down, it’s a breeze. You’re going to love Marble Garden Zone :D.
