Sons of Anarchy - Who Dies Next?

I assumed it was August Marks’ guys, making clear that there would be even more consequences, beyond Bobby, if Jax and the club didn’t fall into line.

My money is on Abel

Wasn’t he at the school, in the process of putting on a beat-down?

I’m already looking askance at his insightful-beyond-his-years riposte to Gemma, the aviacide and “NO SON IS SAFE” would be even more of a stretch.

Gemma was at the cabin over night wasn’t she? Leaving the boy time the night before or in the AM as a warm up to the lunch box assault?

No, he was on his way home from being picked up at school for cranking some kid on the head with a metal lunchbox.

And of course Gemma, in perfect Gemma character, has to go and threaten the teacher about it. I dislike Gemma more and more each episode. I can’t wait to see how they craft her downfall.

Abel was likely home with Wendy and she would have taken him to school that morning. It was Brooke (the teenage babysitter) who came home and asked if the school had called, I’m assuming she went to pick him up and they wouldn’t release him to her because they wanted to speak to his “legal guardian”, who is still Gemma. (Or Jax, but he’s not exactly a hands-on father these days, too busy out killing people.)

I remember Tara trying to get legal guardian status for Wendy in case something happened to her & Jax but Jax flipped his shit about it.

The birds and graffiti were not violent enough to be Marks, and the timing of it was someone who knew when everyone else was out of the house during a short window. Nero wants them all to leave town with him. Nero really has no clue who Gemma is and what she does. But for that matter, Jax seems to be just as clueless about Gemma this season.

But wasn’t Nero at the cabin with Gemma the entire time? Remember he’s the one who answered the phone there when Wendy called about Abel? I remember because he referred to it as the “house phone”, which is something that someone who owned a bar (well, whorehouse) would say. Then he walked into the bird slaughter at the same time as everyone else.

…wait, where were Brooke and the baby when the bird slaughter occured? Remember Wendy walked into the “No Son Is Safe” part and didn’t know where Thomas was until Brooke walked in with him? Were they at the park up the street or something while Gemma and Wendy picked up Abel?

I’m thinking about this too much…

By the way, does there HAVE to be a fink? It’s not like these guys are master strategists, it shouldn’t be too difficult for their rivals to figure stuff out.

Dale Dickey has been a mean old gal in quite a few things. I first noticed her in Winter’s Bone (2010) which is the first time I paid attention to Jennifer Lawrence.

And she is indeed Spooge’s Woman in BB. Good eye for a one-of-a-kind actress, who reminds me a little of Grace Zabriskie of Twin Peaks (and many others) fame.

I’d just like to point out that the “no son is safe” message was scribbled with crayon. Just saying.

By the way, I meant to add that I actually think Wendy did it. Anything to encourage Gemma to get those boys away from all things SOA.

Wendy told Nero that Gemma and Jax would never move away from the club, and seemed to mean it. But I like the idea.

My guess is Abel gets ahold of Gemma’s gun from her purse and shoots her for killing his mommy.

I know it sounds ridiculous but do you see Jax learning the truth and then killing Gemma at this point? I do think Jax will learn the truth but I don’t see him killing his mother. It took how many seasons for him to finally get up the balls to off Clay? Haha

Have we ruled out Wendy being behind all the nasty stuff? Just asking…

I could vaguely see her writing the message, but not as a murderer of crows.

Murder (er) of crows. Nice.

Thanks, and on Hallowe’en, too. The killing of the birds strikes me as done by someone without any emotional attachment to the club, i.e. being able to kill one of its symbols. That seems more Nero than Wendy to me. Of course, it might be neither; at this point it wouldn’t surprise me to have a totally new character just show up, or the return of one from a few seasons back.
I was kind of annoyed that the deal with the other chapter got resolved fairly tidily (or at least so it seems). I was thinking there might be a bit in the final battle where SAMCRO is counting on Indian Hills, but their president announces “you murdered my son, Jax. Burn in hell.” and the Indian Hills members dump their SOA colours and ride off, leaving SAMCRO high and dry.

Finally got a “winner”. RIP Bobby, alas they had to go and kill off the most likeable character on the show. 4 episodes left. The look on Gemma’s face last night when she found out what had happened and realized her role in it was awesome.

And that Anarchy Afterword show (which they said last night was going to air after all of the remaining episodes) is, in my opinion, totally unwatchable. Won’t be wasting any more time on that…

This show is fantastically stupid, and yet I’m entertained. SAMCRO isn’t a fitting acronym…DUMBO would work better.

There is so much not to like about SOA: the theme song, the musical interludes, the ridiculous plots, Katey Sagal overload (even though she’s really good in the role), Jax repeatedly saying “that’s not going to happen” or “I’ll never let that happen”, right before that exact thing happens. Etc., etc…

So how does it all end? Hamlet, Macbeth or, god forbid, Oedipus? The writers have been setting up Abel for so long, I don’t think that payoff will be terribly satisfying. Will he tell Jax that Grandma killed Mommy, or maybe Wendy? Perhaps Wendy will kill Jax in the finale.

I’ve read stuff around the web putting SOA up there with the Sopranos, the Wire and Breaking Bad. Hell, no. The cast is terrific, but Kurt Sutter isn’t in that league.
