A 90 minute episode!
I like that Chibs is VP and Happy is SA. Tig is still a loose cannon, which will be his downfall (in this season, IMO).

What did you think of this first episode?
I thought it was awesome, in many ways, especially given the embedded “social commentary” regarding the fine moral line they seem to walk in this show.

I was thinking about this show the other day looking forward to the premiere. Then I suddenly realized, I don’t remember a damn thing that happened last season!
Thankfully, it all came back to me when I finally got around to watching it last night. An excellent start to the season. I’m curious if they’re going anywhere with Jax’s new girl toy.
Not enough violence! 
Forgive me for being clueless but could someone remind me how that event in the end would affect the club. Something to do with tighter regulations on the weapons i would guess?

The gun the kid used is traced back to the club (it was in Dave Navarro’s hands and he was sleeping with the kid’s mother), and the new DA comes gunning for them (no pun intended).
I thought it was an interesting episode…That said…Sutter’s writing, specifically for his own character, is…uh…well… Did he not get enough affection as a child?
Fine moral line? These guys are criminals and murderers. There’s no moral ambiguity in what they do or what they are.
Their antics are interesting to watch, but I wouldn’t see anything tragic in all of them getting a lethal injection. In fact, rescuing Abel from adoption in Ireland and returning him to the loving bosom of a sociopathic motorcycle gang could easily be argued as a major disservice to him.
I suppose I was referring to how they abuse women, but strike down others who abuse women…
Heck, they kill women when it suits them.
That last girl needed kill’n though.

Well, offhand, I can think of three women murdered by members of the SOA and it was either sanctioned by the club or forgiven right after. So much for chivalry.
This is gonna be a good season.
I believe you’re right about the season. I suspect Donal Logue will be a major part of why.
Yeah. Toric doing will really change the game for the Sons. I really think by the end of the season the Samcro charter with have lots of changes in its members. Some dead, some jumping to a different charters etc. & not to mention, all the personal effects thatll/already happening to Jax, Tara, Gemma, Nero.
I was a little disappointed when they showed him shooting up in his motel room. I think it would have been more interesting if they had written the character as a complete stoic with no chinks in his armor.
However, if they did, there would be nothing for Jax to take advantage of later in the season and it would spell the end of the SOA. Then there couldn’t be a Season 7. But, I think it would be a better story.
This season is just getting better, & better. Bye bye Tiggy.
I watched for the first time last night. I have no clue about the relationships so it’s off to Wiki.
I just sat there going “It’s Joanie and she’s still running a whorehouse!” Then “It’s Charlie from Deadwood! Robocop! The guy from Terriers! Adriana!”
Agreed…though, for the universe of the show, it illustrates how the Sons remain free men despite their many crimes and minimal efforts to get away them: almost every law-enforcement officer is a loose cannon, barely clinging to the edge of sanity. Saw it with Stahl, saw it with the fed who was stalking Tara, seeing it with Torric now.
Nah, he’ll be fine. Pope’s former #2 was holding the paper with (presumably) the address of the warehouse on it, written by Jax, which he’ll use to turn Tig for his own purposes.
IDK about that. What purpose would Pope’s #2 have for Tig? Tig could turn, but he’s old school. He’s not like Juice. IMO he’d die before he’d rat or spy for Pope’s #2. If anything maybe its a ambush on Pops’s crew @ the warehouse where SOA members take them out & once again Jax used Tig as bait. But I really dont thing that will be. Tiggy is going bye bye.
