Sons of Anarchy - Who Dies Next?

That opening was hilarious. Everyone is having sex and then they settle on Wendy, alone in her bed. I nearly did a spit-take when I heard the bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Chibs: “We’re never going to walk down the street hand in hand. We’re going to have to limit our public displays of affection to slam-fucking across the hoods of police cars.”

My husband called it. I said “Aww, and there’s Wendy all alone.” He goes “I bet she pulls out a power tool…” then you hear the bzzzz and we were all “AH HA HA HA HA!!!”

Poor Juice though. Damnnn. And then to have to listen to poetry reading after.

I got more skeeved out when it flipped from Jax to Gemma

And both Gemma and Nero seemed so bored.

There was a time in the eighties when a Jimmy Smits sex scene would have set ovaries afire.

It seemed more of going thru the motions while their minds were on something more important.

I thought that was foreplay.

If you think Juice’s butthole is taking punishment, just imagine the guy who had to smuggle in that book!

Best laugh of morning coffee time. Bravo.

Last night’s episode was actually really good. But did anyone else roll their eyes at the blatant Dodge Challenger product placement? I’m kind of surprised Alvarez didn’t ask about engine specs.

Yeah, nothing makes me want to buy a car more than the possibility that some desperate gangster is going to jack it from me at gunpoint.

Yeah, that was probably the best episode of the season so far, one of the best of the series. Intense as hell. I felt so bad for Nero in that scene where he was looking at Gemma and talking to Jax on the phone.

Nero’s gotta be thinking he dodged a bullet. Probably literally.

These hardcore bikers profess their love for one another more often than most married couples.

I kinda hope everyone dies in the finale, even that weaselly old shit Unser. Let Wendy and Chucky walk off into the sunset with the kids.

Best line of the series:

Chucky: You’re my best friend , Gem.

Gemma: I accept that.

Why are they going after Barosky, anyway? Surely this new information should force a dramatic reordering of priorities.

Didn’t he once say something like “Being your old man isn’t to healthy”? Might not be the exact words but I know it’s the right spirit of his statement. It was shortly after Clay met his demise.

On a side note, I almost dropped a spoiler on my sister and brother in law yesterday. Something I said a couple weeks ago got them interested in Sons so they started from the beginning on Net Flix. They have been in marathon mode since and yesterday I walked in on the Opie death episode. It is very weird watching Opie, Clay, Tara and Pope and knowing what happens to them. When Gemma and Tara got into a tussle I ALMOST said “You are so gonna get forked”. I knew right then I needed get up and go.

Well, that was interesting. Also, intense. I was surprised that the writers “played it straight” without any twists. That was how it has to all play out.

I was surprised Gemma was so resigned to her fate, but I guess the sorta telegraphed it when she refrained from picking a fight with the truck driver in the rest area and with the lady at the front desk at the nursing home. The old Gemma would have teed off on both of them.

Yes, intense would be the word I’d use to describe that episode.

I would rather have seen an ending where Gemma has to live with the weight of all she has brought to fruition with her murder of Tara (including the seemingly inevitable death of Jax). I think that in a very Gemma way, her telling Jax that he had to kill her was a very selfish move - she knew that there was no way this had a happy ending and she wanted no part of being around to see it.

Any thoughts on the significance of Jax limping in that episode? Seems like something that they wouldn’t just throw out there with no reason. I’ve seen some speculation elsewhere that it’s a symptom of a medical issue that would take him down, but that seems like it would just suck as an ending.

It may just be than Charlie hurt himself and they just let him limp instead of delaying shooting long enough for him to heal up. It was noticeable enough, but it’s just like that team to leave it in and let us wonder. (I have yet to go looking for the real story! )

I had that thought - that Jax could just let Unser arrest her and she could spend the rest of her life in prison with no one, including her grandsons, visiting her. But, there would always be the possibility that she could start another machination, even from prison, that would damage the club. In the past, she had her moments of contrition, but they didn’t seem to last long.

Also, the “It’s who we are,” line. If Gemma lived, she would make sure that Abel and Thomas learned, “who we are.”

I just assumed he was limping because of something that happened in the first few minutes of the shows, which I missed.
