best episode in ages, per se
I really liked the episdoe but the final assembly was hysterical.
I’ve been reading about the riots that the young star of Twilight has been causing at his public appearences.
Ah. Thanks for the heads up. Now I do feel old. I’ve at least HEARD of HSM. I still have say, I loved last weeks, (saw it again online). Especially after seeing a clip of HSM on these boards. This wasn’t a bad episode; I guess I’m surprised to hear people say it was good, especially compared to last week, which I particularly liked. Different tastes I guess.
Good episode, and last week’s High School Musical parody was even better. I think they’re at their best when they make fun of kids being kids rather than trying to tackle the given hot topic of the day (unless it’s Hot Topic, which is fine ;-).
I loved how pissed the Goth kids were about being mistaken for vampire kids.I thought is was great, I liked last week’s too; I don’t think they’ve jumped the shark quite yet…
 What is this, moviepoopchute.com? Why are people constantly on the edge of their seats around here, waiting for a show to “jump the shark” so they can pounce? Just enjoy the damn show. By all accounts off the sdmb, it’s getting better every year. Newsflash: the Simpsons still frequently have good episodes too, but you’d never know it from hanging around this place.
I’ve heard Matt and Trey asked what their favorite episodes are. They say the ones where the kids are being kids are their favorites.
Thank you. That’s been getting on my nerves lately, too. What’s so hard about judging each episode on its individual merits without trying to squeeze it into some upward or (usually) downward trend in quality?
Any episode featuring Butters is guaranteed to be a little bit awesome. The episode was amusing even though it’s topicalness (the Twilight fad) wasn’t something that I really care about or have even really noticed. People are making it out to be the new Harry Potter, but while it did seem to be selling out at the theater, I didn’t see long lines of teenagers in scary clothing. While the Goth kids annoyance at being mistaken for vampires was amusing, of course in real life, they shop at Hot Topic too.
I’ll 3rd, (or is it 4th?), this.
Although I think there was a period of The Simpsons where it’s humor strarted to change, and didn’t match mine. I’ve seen a few here and there lately, and honestly, I laughed… but I really didn’t think the movie was good at all.
South Park’s always had periodic droughts of particularly funny episodes. You can’t please everyone with every episode no matter what TV show we’re talking about.
Damn, this episode had topical elements, too? I must be so out of touch. I’m almost scared to Google Twilight…
