South Park 11/19/08

Oh My God that was awesome.

“He’s become something we cannot ground.”

Clamato

Not as great as i was expecting.

And a whole episode about kids becoming enamored with vampires, and not ONE mention of Twilight?

One of the Vamp kids mentioned it in the beginning.

Plus I think the sparkly thing was a reference, though all I know about Twilight is what I pick up from this message board.

Awesome episode, per se.

I loved the goth kid’s assembly speech at the end.

“So we’re back to this.”

Easily the best of the season.

My favorite part though was the very beginning with Mr. Makay trying to “teach” the students computers while they are playing Call of Duty.

I’m ashamed that I predicted where “the place where vampires are created” would be. :o

“Over there, by the fat girl, the kid with the big nose, the midget, and the kid with pockmarks on his face.” Hah!

Excellent episode- way better than last week.

Why is there rice-a-roni in my coffee?!

Just perfect.

Brilliant. They’re almost forgiven for last week. Almost.

I did, too. It earned me a high five from my boyfriend :stuck_out_tongue:

It was an ok, standard grade episode.
Nothing special to me. Nothing I particularly liked or disliked.

edit, and I LOVED last weeks

In a season with very few laughs, it was great to have an episode that actually made me laugh out loud.

Then again I had contact with "vampires" back during the whole Anne Rice vamp craze. I even had one move into a house after I left, that started following a friend of mine around, because the friend could trace her linage back to Vlad Tepes.

Am I missing something? Are people going vamp’ these days? Is Twilight a hyped movie? Does it have to do with that new HBO show?
Maybe I need to watch again.

It’s a YA series. They’re making it into a movie.

I really liked this episode, first good one in a while. The goth kids are definitely fun to watch, and vampire Butters was adorable. I’m not sure which was adorabler, this or Professor Chaos.

Pretty sure they called it by name twice and made several other direct references to it.

Did anyone catch the lyrics to the song at the end? That might’ve been the funniest part of the episode :D.

I’m just too old to be cool anymore. Vampires? This is a thing now? I thought it was zombies now and Buffy was the last of the vampire things. So one teen angsty vampire thing wasn’t enough? I just don’t get kids these days. Get off my lawn!

What was with the head vampire saying per se all the time? Is it something from Twilight, or just a weird mannerism Parker & Stone decided to give to this kid?

I assumed it was just a generally pretentious, douche-y thing to do. But I haven’t read Twilight.

Gotta love an ep that glorifies arson!
