A very funny episode last night. Disgusting, but funny.
I love how all the players were supposed to hug each other while Butters ran with the balloon.
Yeah, it was a really great episode. I really loved it. Check that – I lurrrrved it.
I don’t follow American football at all. What is the minimum I should know before watching this episode?
Oh yeah, that was definitely the best episode of South Park ever. No, in fact, it was the best thing on TV ever. No, wait, it was the best thing mankind has ever created.
As long as you know that football is a full contact sport that mainly involves people clobbering the shit out of each other; you’re good.
Also, football referees are currently (?) on strike in the U.S. and people are complaining that the replacement referees are less than competent.
And that there has been a bit of recent hand-wringing over the long-term effects of said clobbering (like changing rules for football youth leagues to make it less clobbery).
This episode was the best thing ever aired on American television. Check that. Any television, anywhere. It should be rerun continuously on Comedy Central forever. Check that. It should be rerun on all the channels and a copy placed in the Smithsonian. Check that. It should be placed on NASA’s next deep space probe. Anyone who has ever watched Jim Rome had to be laughing their asses off.
Really good episode!
Where can I get me a squad of whoop-di-f***ing-doo girls?
Oh yeah, that sounds like a real great idea. I want some too! Let’s all have some whoop-di-fucking-do girls.
All I can say is, wow, go Butters. That’s a lot of Buttery cream for a elementary schooler.
I’m not sure you lot a being totally serious…
if you can’t tell maybe you need to get your friendly compass recalibrated.
You know when they first introduced Butters, I hated him as a (temporary) replacement for Kenny but now he’s one of my favorites. His innocence is a callback to that of the regulars in the earlier seasons and he’s almost completely without guile, except when his alter ego surfaces as Professor Chaos.
Does anyone know why this episode is unavailable on South Park Studios? It says “This episode is available 9/26 2012.” It’s Oct 8th…
Was wondering the same. I was able to watch it on the site the day after it aired (9/27) but when I went back to watch it with a friend it was unavailable.
In the past they used to not make the episodes available for up to a month after it aired - maybe they let it show for the first week then it’s unavailable for a few more before it goes up for good? (And someone forgot to update the date on the site)
I like Kyle a lot, because he reminds me of myself. Growing up, I was always the goody-two-shoes. But I gotta agree, Butters is absolutely my favorite character.
*Who’s the boy who can laugh at a storm cloud?
Turn a frown into a smile for free?
Who’s the kid with the heart full of magic?
Everyone knows it’s Butters! *(That’s me!)
that’s typically what they do; new episodes are available on southparkstudios for a week after the original airing, then unavailable for a month afterward.
standingwave:
Even when he’s acting as Professor Chaos.
The only time I ever recall Butters acting less than entirely innocent was when he made good on his threat against Cartman at the end of AWESOME-O.
