I thought it was funny how they originally took it for granted that Hillary would win and when Trump did they were backed into the corner of having to use years of President Mr. Garrison (no relation) instead of attacking Trump directly. I see they got tired of doing that and decided to just bite the bullet and make it Trump after all for reasons that may never be explained.
I watched it twice, the second time with my wife to share the awesomeness. I missed a few details during my first viewing, such as the paintings on the wall of him doing “things”. They go by quickly. I wonder what else I’ve missed. I might have to watch it again, just for fun.
(I loved the original movie, having seen it the theater upon its first release. It was the first and only time I’ve seen theater ushers checking IDs for the very raunchy R-rated cartoon film.)
My mother voluntarily watched South Park on word-of-mouth alone just because she’d heard it was roasting Trump this week.
This is the same woman who, when I was a kid, I had to sneak around behind her back to watch The Simpsons.
I’ve recommended some South Park episodes to her before, and she’s enjoyed them, but this was the first time she’s ever watched one without me or @EllieNeo prompting her.
“The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end—for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show. Just like the creators of South Park , the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows,” White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said in a statement to the outlet. “This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention. President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history—and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
I haven’t watched South Park in years, but I watched this episode. I hope it’s part of a trend where Trump just isn’t cool anymore; that his bro base start to see him as a loser.
The White House staff has probably blocked Comedy Central from trump’s cable feed, and is doing everything in their power to hide all evidence of the episode from him.
trump: Now that we got The Colbert Show canceled, let’s go after The Daily Show and that no-talent host, Jon Leibowitz.
WH Staffer: The Daily Show is the only thing keeping Paramount’s Comedy Channel afloat, along with South…uhhh, never mind, just TDS.
trump: South what? South Park? I remember that show, used to watch it. Funny show- they made fun of liberals and PC attitudes all the time! Is that show still on?
WH Staffer: Uh no, it got cancelled years ago.
trump: Those damn liberals, canceling a great American show. Oh well.
I watched it. Other than Butters and Cartman trying to kill themselves with carbon monoxide from an electric car, I just didn’t think it was all that funny.
I thought the Trump bashing was lazy. They just took an old character (Sadaam) and stuck Trump’s head on it. And the whole naked fat guy in the desert bit wasn’t clever at all. Just gross. And I’m someone who wouldn’t object to seeing Trump meet Mussolini’s end.
Big disappointment. But I haven’t watched South Park in years. Maybe this is the reason.
