I checked out the old thread, trying to figure out a good date to meet.
After careful consideration of all dates, it became apparent that the best day will be a date that we all circle on our calendars with hope and love. Well, we probably circle the calendar anyway. I am speaking of Tax Day, of course! By then we will be all paid out to the government. (Those of us with refund checks? Well, the drinks are on them!)
April 15th, a Saturday that was good for many people. At the place in Santa Monica, because I for one am intrigued by the fish and chips.
What do you all think of this idea? I know Cowboy Greg and Shayna weren’t positive about this date, but I was hoping they could push stuff together so it works for them.
As far as I am concerned, Melin is invited. Perhaps the gettogether will signify a wake for her board presence. I truly hope she wants to go. No need to comment on her present difficulties,in this thread.

I have had to put my travel plans on hold indefinitely, so April 15th will work for me just fine. I’ll keep my eye out for additions to this post for a confirmation of the date and time. I’m looking forward to hanging out with everyone again, and this time I won’t make any other plans that would cause me to have to leave early.

All right! 15 April I’m supposed to go with the SO dancing somewhere in LA in the evening, so I should be able to meet you guys in Santa Monica in the early evening. Woohoo! First one to get sick and throw up from the Ferris Wheel wins.
The 15th works for me, as does Santa Monica – I won’t even have to mooch a ride!
The King’s Head is great, but it’s mucho expensive – I just throw that out in case it’s a particular concern for any of y’all (not that I myself am rolling in dough). It’s also often full of English people, if that’s a problem for anyone

Here’s hoping some lady wears to the Oscars something akin to the “dress” Jennifer Lopez wore to the Grammys! (Man, that thing looked like it would fall off if Lopez sneezed!)

Melin and I will be there, barring anything happening that prevents it. Melin was worried about whether or not she should come, but based on what you all have posted here, and on Pat’s nightly IMs urging her to come, she’s decided to do it. We will NOT be bringing the kids this time, though!

Highlander, I just checked my yahoo account and there isn’t an email there from you.
I seem to be having some problems with that account though. Email I sent Catrandom regarding the last gathering never got to her, and I emailed Laura (Ruffian) from there but never heard back, so maybe she didn’t get my mail either.
I do have other emails in there regarding the upcoming gathering though, so it doesn’t seem to be consistent.

I have some sad news. Well, sad for me anyway. I don’t think I am going to be able to make the gathering.
My friend invited me to share a place up in Yosemite that weekend, I have never been to Yosemite, so I think I am going to take him up on the offer.
This means we will have to have another one very soon after this.
Please have three or four drinks in my honor.
Please don’t be mad at me for backing out at his late date, its just that I have never been to Yosemite, and my best friend really wanted me to go. But, I expect plenty of pictures from the gettogether, so I can live vicariously through you guys.
