Spanish translation/interpretation help?

I have two new MP3s that are in Spanish, and the lyrics of one of them (Fobia “Mas Caliente Que El Sol”) are easy to figure out in either language. Even after looking at a translation of the other song, I’m unsure about a couple lines in the other song because I think the translation is too literal. Can someone help me out?

“Tengo Frio” by Ely Guerra, complete lyrics in Spanish here for context

Si tengo miedo, si llevo alguna herida
La idea es que vengas a mi.

suggested translation:

If I am afraid, if I take a wound
The idea is to come into my.

Does it mean if she’s scared, or if she’s hurt (in a figurative sense, possibly by another relationship) that the idea of running back to him will come to mind? I’m not quite grasping what “a mi” is supposed to mean without a noun to refer back to.

The translation is closer to this:

If I’m afraid, if I carry any wound
The idea is that you come to me.

The wound is a reference to the one made by love.

So it is a request to her lover to understand her feelings and that he should come back to her to heal her or comfort her.

Sorry about doing this, but just a +1 to what GIGObuster said.

Plus 2?

Translating machine didn’t take into account accents (mi=my mí=me).
