Hi, I took a class on speaker building in high school, and I want to build new crossover circuits for the speakers I made. The thing is, when I built my speakers, the parts came out of a huge bin that the teacher lugged out of the closet. I’m not in high school anymore, and also, I want to get some parts that haven’t been tumbling around in a bin over 10 years. Does anyone know where I can get (or mailorder) inductors, capacitors, and resistors? It wasn’t a very detailed class (though we made nice speakers), so he never told us what type of inductors capacitors, and resistors we put in our speakers. Thanks.
this is a good place to buy all the parts you need, although Radio Shaft will also have a lot of useful stuff.
Good luck!

Radio Shack, as well as many other online sources, sell not only the parts but complete crossovers as well - I used Radio Shack 3-way crossovers to build my speakers, and they work amazingly well.
I’ve had very good luck with Mouser –
They ship fast and have no minimum order. They are generally the cheapest I’ve found as well. They cater primarily to the wholesale market, but they will sell onesies and twosies, no problem.
They have a tremendous selection of all things electronically related, capacitors, resistors, power supplies, chips of all sorts, etc.
Darn. I thought is was going to be a thread about guest appearences in the works of Orson Scott Card.
