Special Movie Trivia: Identify the movie from this scene description.

Well yeah, but we are talking about movies here. I checked out the site and they don’t list any popular movies that use the line (aside from Blazing Saddles), unless you consider UHF a popular movie.

What I meant was, to me, the origin of the line was always like “Play it again Sam” (incorrect, I know), or “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn” as in the origin was obvious. I thought you were giving me undo credit.

Okay, one more for the weekend:

L4L - 10 A boy hangs himself, then has dinner with his mother.

I was thinking outside the box

Harold & Maude

You never seen The Three Amigos!! I am almost positive that line is in the movie. I would consider TTA and UHF popular. Among who they are popular with is another story.
NYR5 - Needing cash, a man sells shower curtain rings to a teenage girl by pretending they are earings.

Is NDP27 Signs?

HAH! Another easy one!
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Though I’m pretty sure there’s no “badges?” reference in the Three Amigos. I’ll watch my DVD again tonight, just to be sure.

Yes, NDP 27 is “Signs”.

So far only ME 5 has been answered correctly.

Some of the films mentioned are really cheesy movies. Hint, hint

ME 1 - The usual relationship between oil tanker and submarine is reversed dramatically.

Down Periscope?

Coneheads?

Beetlejuice?

I’ll add a couple while I’m here…

VA1 - A young guy, who is replacing some lights, has a brief talk to an older guy.

VA2 - The dynamics of the “blue packets of sugar” versus the “pink packets of sugar” are discussed.

For ME 6, think very bad movie. Guin would know this one, I think.

Mars Attacks?

“Snatch” had a scene like this. Maybe I need another hint.

based on your last hint, i’m going to guess “Space Pirates.”

Dead on!

You guys are good so I’m going for obscure now:

z3…an electric iron shorts out causing a dress to be burned with disastrous results.

z4…a gentleman drops his pants in order to take a dump in the snow. When his two companions stop and stare he suggests they should take a sample for scientific purposes.

z5…a group of Frenchmen (and women) are enjoying a picnic when the distant sound of a machine gun causes them to panic.

“Space Pirates”

Very close, just change the last word.

As for ME 4, think “Japan”, “children”, and “little shorts”.

The Survivors…?

No.

No guesses on NDP 25? Let me restate it:

NDP 25 - A man recuperating from a mental breakdown listens to a composition by Mozart while a guest in his room tells of the piece’s therapeutic effect.

I’m not going to take any guesses on M1-M4 and M6-M7 but, for everyone else, I’ll mention that regular viewers of MST3K should be familiar with these movies.

Is this “Back to the Future II”?
