Speed of lightning, roar of thunder, popping pills? Never wonder, Underdog 2007 movie

So I was wondering, how can Disney deal with the fact that Underdog gets his power from Super Energy Vitamin Pills?

Oh.

So much for Sweet Polly Purebred then too. Wikipedia reports that:

Oh well, “I am a hero who never fails, I can’t be bothered with such details!”

I don’t know what to think about this or the movie.

Dunno about the pills, but I’d like to see this because it has Jason Lee, Peter Dinklage, and Patrick Warburton in it.

I used to love Underdog. But I’m expecting this to suck.

I loved this cartoon as a kid, “There’s no need to fear, Underdog is here!”

It wasn’t until i was much older that i learned that U-Dog’s arch-enemy was ‘Simon the Bastard’.

What do you suppose Disney thinks of that?

I’m not certain the movie Underdog will speak in rhyming couplets, either.

Unless all of his dialogue for the first 45 minutes, strung together, is the first line of the couplet, and the word he speaks at the midpoint of the film rhymes with the last word of his last line. :dubious:

I agree with you. In particular, Lee and Warburton are incredible voice actors. The prospect of having Kronk and Syndrome playing off each other in the same movie is really exciting. Let’s hope the script doesn’t suck.

Hey, after checking IMDB I see that Jason Lee is also starring as David Seville in Alvin and the Chipmunks … .

I had forgotten the energy pill thing… maybe that’s we we don’t see this show in syndication.

And I sure miss Wally Cox.

I saw the trailer at the theater last weekend. The only resemblance it bears to Underdog is the name. I’ll pass – but maybe I should get hold of the DVD’s of the real Underdog.

I’ve seen the trailer as well. It bears no resemblance to the Underdog of my youth and I will be avoiding it with a passion.

Not bird, nor plane, nor even frog.
Nor anything resembling Underdog.*
