Recently I have been making smoothies with fresh pineapple, fresh orange juice, freshly frozen banana chunks ( to aid coldness+thickness ) and a lot of unflavoured bio-yoghurt.
This is a great smoothie in the mornings. Today I poured that concoction onto my crunchy-nut cornflakes as a substitute for milk. It was pretty good, it tasted like them Mullers yoghurts you can buy that actually do have cornflakes in them.
A recent invention was - 3 scooped out passion fruits, banana ( always broken and pre frozen), bio-yoghurt, a little drop of whole milk and a couple of chocolate chunk cookies. It was pretty tasty.
But the main one that I fall back on a lot is the summer fruits one. I buy about a 1/2 kilo of frozen summer fruits, let it defrost a little ( but not nearly all the way ), add the banana, yoghurt and a little orange juice. You can’t really beat this one on a hot day. I had one last night and added a few amaretto biscuits that had some sort of almondy icing on them. Twas fantastic.
I have bought a jar of peanut butter, some cookies and chocolate ice-cream this weekend as ingredients for some new creations.
Anyone else having fun with their blenders?
