-if telling the truth, the first paragraph makes no sense. The only (logical) reasons to do it is if Telcontar is a wolf with powers - but powers are not major in this game, so I doubt it would be worth the trade.
-or she is town and angling some sort of rancher/farmer goal - but she just getting them both lynched, so that would have no effect or severely hurt her own side.
Maybe she is farmer and wants to avoid testing a rancher again, but then she should just have claimed that.
