Spoil NCIS (Jan 27 episode) for me

I missed the ending of this. Not quite sure the last part I saw, but I definitely remember McGee saying he would give “Clair” another chance.
thanks!

Brian

Tony gave McGee the last slice of pizza, and returned his $40 with interest (an extra twenty). Then Tony left. Ziva told McGee that she hadn’t told him so that he could torture Tony, and McGee gave Ziva twenty.

(I’m assuming that you weren’t looking for the solution to the murder of the week–If I’m wrong, let me know and I’ll try to provide that answer too).

McGee tells Tony that ‘Claire’ was going back to her ‘old boyfriend’ but that he would continue to pursue her, since ‘she may be the One.’ Tony feels so guilty that he lets McGee take the last slice of pizza, and pays him back teh money he borrowed (with interest).
After Tony leaves, Zive says to Tim that she didn’t tell him the truth about ‘Claire’ so Tim could torture Tony. Tim smiles and gives her some of the ‘interest’ money Tony gave him. Ziva is less conflicted after that.

I like that the writers have a good feel for the family dynamic among the characters. And that Timmy isn’t always the victim and has learned to give back to Tony as well as he gets.

Thanks! I’m also interested in the murder of the week (they had figured out the victem was in the trunk of a car and got the pentagram from teh wheel cover of the spare)

It had nothing to do with the victim’s job at the high security data gathering super-secret lab, or the Cuban maid. It was the skeevy boyfriend of the daughter, who told his skeevy friend (the one who owned the Skylark with the star-wheels) about how the victim had swallowed his grandmother’s engagement ring back when he was a wee sprat and it never came out. It had embedded itself into his duodenum.
Skeevy boyfriend and buddy thought that killing the victim and cutting out a four-carat diamond would be worth the risk, and the victim’s daughter has already gone back to skeevy boyfriend once when her mother dies, so it looked like a win/win situation.
Unfortunately, grandpa had given grandma a fake ring. The green color of the victim’s duodenum was because the ring was copper alloy, and not gold. Killing his girlfriend’s father for a useless bauble cause the skeevy boyfriend to become conflicted, and so he (I believe) killed his skeevy car-owning friend to put the whole situation behind him.
Ducky somehow knew the ring-swallowing story. I did not catch how he came across it.

Ducky found the ring-swallowing story in the childhood medical records of the deceased. Mighty convenient that he was able to access them, but what’s a little improbability between friends?

Agreed, but I was also a bit disappointed that McGee (apparently) at first believed that his e-girl really was real, and needed Ziva to tell him the truth. It would have been just that much better if it had come out at the end that McGee had known it was Tony all along. McGee is, after, the super computer hacker of all time. It would have been perfectly reasonable (within the context of the show) if we learned at the end that as soon as McGee started chatting with his e-girl he had done the old “backtrace a ping through the router to the server and get the IP address of his e-girl’s laptop” trick, and so knew right away that it was actually Tony.

I also figured McGee knew it was DiNosy (DiNozzo) all along. Hey, maybe he did. Ziva just thinks she tipped him off. McGee had a total “I’ve met my true soul mate” thing going on, and we all know pretty much everyone on this show is everyone else’s soul mate, on some level or another.

I also think Timmy was playing Ziva as well. One does not successfully pull off a computer prank on McGeek.

Yeah? Where do Gibbs and Abby fit in?
