So. Is it going to be a ‘Red Shirt’? Or will it be one of the regulars? If it’s one of the regulars, which one do you think it will be?
Assuming a regular, these are who I can think of: Gibbs, Tony, Kate, or McGee. Technically, Ducky, The Totally Hot Abby, and Ducky’s assistant are agents. There could be a situation where one of them is killed.
I don’t see how the show could work if Gibbs, Tony or Kate snuffs it. The show is pretty much about them. I don’t see Ducky biting it, and Abby is too cute to die. (Hmmm… Kate, or Abby? Tough choice!) Maybe I’ve not been watching closely enough, but it seems that McGee’s and Abby’s romance might have gone off the track. I’m thinking that if a regular gets it, it might be McGee.
I want to know what happened to the hot chick who came out of McGee’s bathroom after Tony and Kate had dragged him off the work on his day off a couple of episodes ago!
Johnny , Please say it isn’t Kate, please, please, please!!!
One of the best shows on the tube right now. I’ve always been a Mark Harmon fan and Gibbs’ part seems to have been written just for him. I like Tony too. I mean,c’mon, he’s a guys guy, funny, a good agent. We can’t lose him.
If I was making the cut I think Ducky’d be gone. Easier to replace a quirky old pathologist than ant of the leads.
There was a self destruct sequence built into the disease after 32 hrs. If the host was strong enough to survive the initial 32 hrs. he would likely survive. At the end of the show Tony was doing quite nicely.
Kate and Abby are two of the reasons I watch the show! (The ‘Kate or Abby’ comment wasn’t meant to imply that I thought one of them would be killed, but was meant to be a ‘Ginger or Mary Ann’ thing.)
Eh, that’s already been done. (Mary Ann by a wide margin, I believe.)
So, anyway…
Kate or Abby?
Abby is really cute. I love her face.
But Kate is pretty (as opposed to cute).
I like Abby’s quirky character, and I like Kate’s hidden vulnerability. Tough call. I think at the end of the day I’d choose Kate for a long-term thing. But I wouldn’t mind a fling with Abby!
I was annoyed last night when the finale promo showed Tony scampering around: even though the 32-hour thing was explained last night, I thought he was still looking pretty sick and there was no guarantee he’d survive. I was seriously expecting to see “To be continued” and have the next episode follow Gibbs as he hunts down an antidote. Maybe it was clear to everyone else that Tony was out of the woods, but it wasn’t to me … until the promo ruined the suspense.
We know it won’t be Tony, 'cause they just threatened his life last night. And didn’t last season end with Gibbs’s life being threatened by the terrorist guy?
Hmm, it could be Kate’s turn…
When I saw the promo, I said (out loud, to my TV) “Just don’t kill McGee!” I started watching the show for Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly, but now I look forward to Sean Murray’s scenes the most. I love the McGee character. I agree that he’s the most likely regular to be killed off, but it would make me very sad.
I’m clinging to the idea that it will be Ducky’s assistant. He’s had more dialogue than usual lately (and forced dialogue, at that), so maybe the writers are setting him up to be whacked.
I thought of that too; but I wasn’t watching the preview closely enough to catch the hint of the coming situation. How would they get him out into the field, and into a life-threatening situation?
I’ve been thinking it would be Tony … but the comments about already having his life threatened have made me reconsider. Ducky did lose an assistant last year, the show won’t work without Gibbs, and I think Abby’s too much of a fan favorite to lose.
Which leaves Kate, Tony, McGee, and Ducky. My money is on either Tony or Kate. I think McGee is also too much of a fan favorite at this point. I adore him, and I’m sick of Tony and Kate’s shit.
I don’t think they’d be willing to kill off Tony or Kate. Especially considering they’ve already ALMOST killed Tony off two seasons in a row. I think we’ve seen the end of McGee. I know it will upset some fans, but I think he’s the one to go.
Is it telling to know that he’s not as unhip as he appears to be? (Fling with Abby, and his first car was a Camero – not that I think Cameros are at all hip; but you know what I mean.)
Slightly off topic, but when this program first spun off JAG, did not really expect much. However, not only have the plots and characters been great, but it has to be one of the funniest shows on the tube now, including all sitcoms.
