It’s the Pit. People get kicked around there. **Spongemom ** invited everyone in to kick her neighbor around a little, more folks found her kick-worthy than they did her neighbors. That’s the chance you take when you initiate a post in the Pit.
I think the prevailing sentiment was “hey, she’s at least partially responsible for the death of her cats, but refuses to accept it.” Kicking ensued.

Never mind that you’re getting possibly legally actionable threats because of our refusal to act and boobheadedness - our admins don’t look bad (yet) so we don’t give a flying fucksicle (yet). Add in: As well as a board that admonishes people to not ‘bring things here’ or ‘take things elsewhere’ but won’t do jack about removing said threads of shit that keep getting brought up, referenced, and starting ‘taking things elsewhere’ all over again, even when said threats begin to cross the line into what appears to possibly be legal harassment.
I shouldn’t post when I’m pissed, or piss when I’m posting or take longer than 15 min in someone’s bathroom while pissing and posting or something. My original post might have been a tad more coherent if I’d made it after cooling off a bit.

Spongemom, I don’t think it’s a case of being welcome or not. The Pit just brings out nastiness in a lot of people. If you hit a topic where people disagree, it will come out in the most disagreeable fashion possible. It happens here all the time, and you just got bit by it is all.
I think, however, you’ll find things different in MPSIMS, Cafe Society, etc. I hope you’ll stick around.
