How about water polo? Badminton? Tee-ball?
How about fencing? You’d think it’d be a natural. Not to mention it’s really easy to do stunt doubles with those protective suits and masks.
There’s also jai alai, tetherball, and freeze tag.
They didn’t have masks, but there’s Cyrano de Bergerac and The Three Musketeers. (Both have many other versions.) For that matter, it wasn’t really sport either…
(P.S. - Shirley, I’ve seen Men With Brooms and read the book they made from it. Both crack me up, and the climax is great in both!)
