By one of those weird coincidences, we’re going to see the touring production of The Producers this afternoon – and a friend of mine in Toronto is also going to see the Canadian touring production this afternoon. And then you start talking about it here. Wooooo.
Okay, I admit it, I’m easily amused.
RTFirefly , I too am going to see the Broadway production of the Producers, on Wednesday in my case. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are leaving the cast in about two weeks, so tickets were at quite a premium. Ouch.
My wife and I saw The Producers during its pre-Broadway Chicago run. Front row seats. Nearly died during the “Little Old Lady Land” tap-dancing walkers number.
Tangental brush with someone who brushed someone famous: my fiancee spilled coffee on Matthew Broderick as he was signing the contracts for “The Producers.” Her firm did all the contracts for the show.
I know what you mean, LurkMeister – my daughter leaned over to me and whispered, “Someone is SO going to hell for this!”
