Spyware question: Searchcentrix?

Here’s my problem. Through accessing a website dedicated to lyrics at my PC here at work, I seem to have had some sort of “web search” software installed on my computer. Every now and then, particularly when the site I’m accessing takes a while to load (the SDMBs are a prime example) my browser will be redirected to a searchcentrix.com website and a number of pop up windows will appear. I’ve gone to searchcentrix’s website and followed their uninstall instructions, but everytime I do so the software seems to reinstall itself, and I can’t seem to find the source file.

My problem is this: being a work computer I can’t exactly go installing any additional software to combat this problem, and I’m afraid if I contact IT about the problem we’ll all get an email tomorrow saying “no more internet”. Is there any way I can eradicate this problem without resorting to the above measures? Does anyone have any familiarity with Searchcentrix.com

(sigh) Let’s try this again… seems the hamsters ate the last one.

Adaware addresses this. (Though I know you said you can’t download and install things.)

So… Manual removal
