Hi all! My Comp Sci TA has squeaky shoes that really annoy her. I feel her pain because I, also, have annoying squeaky shoes. I have to walk down long, echoey corridors in my college, I can just hear the squeaks bouncing off the walls, reaching every crevice of the building, every nook and cranny, every student or faculty member looking at me with homicidal rage, PLEASE SHOES! STOP THE SQUEAKING!!!
I decided to ask the smartest people I know (tha’d be yall) how the heck to get it to stop! I may have extra-credit coming here, so be loose with the suggestions!
I had a pair of work boots that squeaked horribly. I found that 3-in-1 oil applied with a paper-towel made it bearable-- for a day or two. Then, they went on the fire.
Is it the soles squeaking agains the floor or the shoes themselves squeaking?
Vibram soles (which I love) squeak awfully against tile floors when they are new, but they stop as they wear in. Perhaps some sandpaper on the soles would help.
