The Official Cardinals Website does not have any information, that I can find, on directions and parking to the new Busch Stadium. Can any St. Louis-area Dopers give me directions to the park, coming in from the north on I-55? Also, any info on parking would be greatly appreciated (like, where is it, how much does it cost, etc.).
Ever go to the old Busch Stadium? The new one is directly across the street, to the south. Highway 40 passes less than 50 feet from the new stadium.
Coming north on I-55, just get off at Memorial Drive, turn left at Market and look for the same parking garages you parked in last season. The new stadium wiped out some parking lots that haven’t yet been replaced, but there are still plenty of lots around.
I can’t tell you about parking prices this season. I heard someone complain that parking cost $16, but I didn’t hear where they parked.
Well that’s a relief. I thought I was going to have to pay at least $20. I didn’t know if they kept the same garages from the old stadium or not.
I know that the new one is right across the street, but I was thinking there might be different directions with the new traffic patterns & all that. Thanks for the heads-up.
Here is a link to a page giving directions to the park. Note that I found this using a Google search on “Busch stadium parking directions” but was unable to navigate to the page from the Cardinals homepage you mentioned.
That’s all true, but you’re better off parking farther away and taking the MetroLink train to the ballpark. For example, if you park near Union Station, it’s much cheaper than parking near the stadium, and the MetroLink tix are cheap. If you drive to the stadium and park there, you’ll be driving at a crawl for half an hour after the game.
I agree with taking the MetroLink. Even though you might have to wait 20 mins or so for a train after a game, you won’t have to worry about running Cards fans over with your car.
I’m a season ticket holder so we’re always looking for cheap parking. I usally either park at the Arch grounds parking garage ($1/hour) or up by the Kiel center on Clark theres a lot that is $2 a day (if there is no hockey game). Both of these spots are about a 8-10 minute walk. Parking at the Arch seems to be the easiest to and from I-55.
the Metrolink won’t be that bad if your coming from the east-side.
