St. Patrick's Day Playlists!

Isn’t this last years St Patricks day thread?

Ahh, faith and begorrah, but it wasn’t missed. I have it on the list as Derry Aire (post #38), which is what it used to be on the jukebox in my late brother’s nightclub. Same song as an instrumental.

The Derry Air is the name of the air, Danny Boy is the most famous song that uses the air.

Heh heh heh… derrière…

Nice, and very in the spirit of reconciliation.

All I can say in my defence is look what time of day I posted that OP.

I know what you mean. considers own posting history, realises has only made about three sober posts

Ghoulishly apt song after recent events too. :frowning:

I am appropriately embarrassed, see? –> :smack:

How about “The Bricklayer’s Song” ?
Give it a listen, everyone, it’s funny:

Sure you don’t mean The Clancy Brothers with Tommy Makem?

How’s about *Home for a Rest *by Spirit of the West?

Mr. S is the Irish music fan in our house, and I’m sure he’d have quite a playlist. (I don’t have anything against Irish music, and enjoy hearing it; it’s just that he follows the groups, buys all of our Irish CDs, etc.).

We’ve been to see Solas and Karan Casey a few times, so I guess anything by them would be a good addition. We’re actually going to hear Karan Casey perform on St. Patrick’s Day this year! :stuck_out_tongue:

Put up the cast recording to Andrew Lloyd Webber & Ben Elton’s The Beautiful Game. Excellent.

The show was supposed to come to Broadway in the 2002-2003 season. 9.11 killed that idea.
