ST:TNG, Encounter at Farpoint makes so much more sense ...

The saucer section of the TOS Enterprise had those two triangular shaped grey areas on the bottom, which some folks say are landing legs. (A third leg is hidden by the “neck”.)

Yeah, I hear you on the Ent-D saucer. Maybe it should have had tiny warp engines of its own. Or maybe some technobabble about how it could sustain a warp field, just not produce one so the ship could separate and the saucer could go on its merry way while the battle hull turned around and fought…whoever.

You don’t need warp drive to land. The saucer survived a descent to a planet when Troi was driving.

Must have been after one of the many refits in the '80s.

This is what’s called “dumb fool luck.” :smack:

The most annoying line for me was just every time Data goes into unnecessary detail about something trivial until slapped down by Picard, or occasionally Riker.

Every episode had at least one line like that.

And people say the dynamic between picard and data was the best part of the show…

In Season 1.

I think Guinan’s reply was: “It never goes away.”

Like some alien STD, it never goes away … you just learn to live with it.*

*My interpretation. :frowning:

S1, E4: Aside from the actual introduction of the Ferengi, it was a pretty good episode.
