This morning there was a story on Slashdot about Tom’s Hardware’s review of NVidia’s new GeForceFX chip. One page of the review had an amazing screenshot from a game I’d never heard of before. Check out the peeling wallpaper and the shadows.
Unfortunately the official site for this game is completely stuffed up (“Internal Server Error” on every page), but there’s a sort of unofficial fan site over at http://www.oblivion-lost.com/.
The site owners insist you register before you can do this, but you can download a 21MB movie of the game. I did so. I damn near creamed my jeans.
My GOD this is the BEST DAMNED GRAPHICS I HAVE EVER SEEN!! Photo-realistic outdoors, in real-time!

Btw, make sure you don’t waste time downloading the second (most recent) movie (a 41MB AVI) because it doesn’t seem to have a video component.
