It’s Me Again, Margaret by Ray Stevens is, of course, one of the more amusing stalker songs ever.
Heh, I know that song. There was a piano version of it on an episode of Due South called “Victoria’s Secret”, about the mountie’s ex-girlfriend (a convicted bank robber, mentioned in passing a couple times earlier in the show) who shows up and basically ruins his life. A very serious episode in a normally very light-hearted show.

I always thought “Silhouette on the Shade” was reflective of a pretty unstable guy. Just happened to be walking past your house, eh? And then went into rage that would have led to him beating down the door, huh? Ah, true love!
Would “Rid of Me,” by PJ Harvey count. That’s really more homicide centered.
I would disagree that many on that list would qualify as “stalker” songs, and the authors of the page would seem to agree with me since they note that it includes “I miss my guy/girl, I’m gonna kill myself” type songs which I wouldn’t classify as “stalker” songs.
Really. Where does stalking enter into “Can’t Stand Losing You?” “Don’t Stand So Close to Me?” And that’s just the Police songs in the top 20. I don’t think the word “stalker” means what that guy thinks it means.
