I saw the number the first time it showed up, but I was too slow. All I got was that it was five thousand something. The next time it was visible, though, just a few seconds later, the number itself was rubbed out. I guess they broke their streak.
I think there was only one cube involved in the battle of Wolf 359, the one that assimilated Picard. That one was destroyed at the end of the episode (apparent malfunction after Data sent the “sleep” command).
I was reminded (elsewhere) that the series finale of Voyager involved infecting the Borg with a pathogen, and that seems to be the most common speculation on what happened to the cube.
I’ve completely purged Voyager from my datastore - and you’re right the cube @ Wolf 359 was also destroyed.
I felt (on re-watch, through the wonders of local broadcast television) that the last couple seasons of Voyager, at least, were pretty good.
Just sharing my testimony.
Voyager had some fantastic episodes during its run -but I just couldn’t take it seriously after the crossover with WWE.
You’ve got it all wrong. That wasn’t a WWE crossover, that was an MCU crossover, specifically as a setup for Thor 3.
yeah - ok - sure
<steps away>
Watched episode 3 last night when it popped up early. The must be releasing the episodes at midnight on the east coast.
Not a big fan of the Raffi character at the moment, hopefully they give her some better dialog in later episodes. I didn’t recognize the former borg character until his name was mentioned. I forgot that he was going to be on the show.
Yes, why does she blame Jayell for her being fired? And she was suspiciously instantly bitter that Jayell happens to have a nice home and vinyard (that has been in his family for generations) even before she was living in a space trailer addicted to space crack.
Now that I think about it, isn’t her character portrayal kinda racist?
No its your soft racism to go there…j/k i don’t care.
More snark: “Complaining about your life and the old straight white guy in a post-scarcity society. Glad to see SJWs still exist.”
I SAID IT WAS SNARK!!
In fact, I always said Earth goes by some kind of social credit/shame system. Nothing else makes sense. There has to be a hundred non-Starfleet orgs that…as a former first officer…she could sign up for. Unless she can’t get off Earth legally. And all those other Orgs have signed agreements with Earth that said people need clearance to join or the Federation will EMBARGO THE SHIT OUT OF YOU.
and for those (None here i think) that complain how this is completely unlike the Federation they knew…PTHHHPTHHHHHH. Its a completely logical extension of everything we’ve seen.
Finding the show interesting in a lot of different ways.
XO dude reminded me of Ash from Disco.
Guessing that ship is a diplomat class courier, remember seeing Zarek tooling around in one of the trek movies or shows.
Earth apparently has no traffic control over the orbitals. XO just kicks the tires and lights the fires after Picard says engage and goes to warp.
Way too many Romulan special forces teams on Earth, place just screams for a wall.
Again, whats Picards deal with the Romulans and not being able to be the hero saving the roms.
The pacing of this show is glacial but I am enjoying it.
Awesome to see Hugh again.
Having someone living at the actual Vasquez Rocks was a A+ Trek in joke.
Enjoying the show but WTF was that near incesty scene with the Romulan siblings? Yech!
Their previous scene in episode 2 was like that as well. Definitely a bit of a squick factor.
Their freakiness may be just flavor, or it might indicate something is up with them as they don’t behave properly. What’s-her-name was also a bit too excited when she volunteered to “take care of” Picard herself and “make it last”, not really like a stone-cold killer.
The fight stunts and pew pew are definitely better than the previous series. I was hoping for an easter egg Captain Kirk double kick or hammer fist to the back, that would have made my millenium
Are we sure they are siblings? Calling someone ‘sister’ and ‘brother’ has many connotations - could be ‘brother romulan’ vs ‘brother family’.
just how many phasers does one need to keep stashed around the desk of a retired admiral grape farmer?
Clearly, the 2nd A survives to the 24th century.
I loved them stacking the weapons/bodies of the dead romulans - I would have transported them to Admiral Hubris’s office with a note “thought you’d like these”.
I don’t think there’s a United States in the 24th century, but it doesn’t matter whether there is or not because this shootout happens in France.
