Star Wars Question: opening word scroll

Ok, I swear I did a search for this and couldn’t find it. Maybe it’s because I don’t know what to call it exactly.

Anyway, at the opening of Star Wars (ep IV) the famous words “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…” etc. scroll up the screen. What does the rest of it say? (And what am I supposed to call that?)

I have searched on The Force.com and Star Wars.com and all sorts of other places but since I don’t know exactly what to call it, I can’t find anything.

If you have a link or can post the words, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks!

“A long time ago in a galaxy far far away” doesn’t actually crawl like the rest - it appears first, then the opening music, then the text:

It is a period of civil war.
Rebel spaceships, striking
from a hidden base, have won
their first victory against
the evil Galactic Empire.

During the battle, Rebel
spies managed to steal secret
plans to the Empire’s
ultimate weapon, the DEATH
STAR, an armored space
station with enough power to
destroy an entire planet.

Persued by the Empire’s
sinister agents, Princess
Leia races home aboard her
starship, custodian of the
stolen plans that can save
her people and restore
freedom to the galaxy…

Thank you, Dooku!

That took all of 2 minutes. I shouldn’t have wasted my time trying to find it on those other sites–gotta remember to just ask the Teeming Millions[sup]tm[/sup] first.

I appreciate the quick help!

I’ve always heard it referred to as “The opening scroll.”

Quite a good device, if you ask me :D.

It’s generally considered poor form 'round these parts to post a questions without at least doing some cursory research yourself.

Sounds to me like you handled this just the way it ought to be.
