Honestly, from what I’m seeing of this game so far lack of solo content won’t be a problem. In fact, it really looks like this isn’t a MMO so much as a typical Bioware RPG with some limited multiplayer capability.
From what I can understand, you can 1-max totally solo, but you’ll miss out on some semi-significant amount of content. There are flashpoints (fancy name for dungeons, where are 4-man in this game), which require at least a couple people (you can bring in you AI companions to fill in for other players, but it’s not ideal), as well as “heroic areas” in each zone, which are essentially areas containing only what amounts to WoW’s “elite” mobs, which as reported are quite difficult–requiring 3-4 people to do. In addition, for world quests (not story quests) you get “social points” which can be spent on gear (equivalent to other non-group gear) for winning rolls on dialogue choices, but that’s not the biggest deal.
From what I understand though, story content will be required, so the single player experience is more or less mandatory, but you’ll still miss a big chunk if you refuse to group.
As for the end game, there are a few raids, and I can’t imagine the “solo planet” for max level characters being much more than a glorified daily hub.
The wikipedia page doesn’t mention what the level cap is. Anyone know what it is?
