I’ve recently gotten hooked on the show. The origional movie I liked, but I never got interested in the series until recently. Does anyone have any remarks or feelings about the show? I personally would love to have a Gou’ld (or however they spell it) sound-alike voice synthcizer so I could sound like them.
“Foolish human, you will tell me where the ruffled potato chips are. Or you will die!”
I’m watching it on both the Sci-Fi and Showitme, as I somehow missed a bunch o episodes, and the older episodes are in syndication, try a fox affiliate. I love the show, and some of the twist it takes are fabulous. I’ve only seen a few instances of bad writing.
I try to watch it in syndication, but they sometimes play rather sporadically. I have season one on DVD, I’m still waiting for the next season (MAN they’re slow at releasing it!). It’s a fun show. Sometimes they go overboard at pushing Colonel O’Neil’s ignorance of science matters, but sometimes it fits in well.
It surprises me that you can’t get SG-1 season two on DVD in the states, because here in the UK, I think they’re well into season 3, posiibly 4 on DVD… which is odd, because normally we’re way behind the states on these things…
I’ve been watching this show in syndication, so I’m behind a season from what’s been shown on Showtime. Now SciFi has picked up the sixth season, and I’m still catching up on the fourth…
Can someone give me a quick spoiler as to what happened to Daniel in the fifth, and why this Jonas fella is so guility about it?
I LOVE this show! One of my favorite episodes (and the only one I have on video tape) is the one where they are stuck in a time loop and O’Neal and Tealq (sp?) are the only ones that remember what happens in each loop. Lots of fun that episode.
SG-1 rocks! The scripting, the characters, everything is so well done. I was not a big fan of the movie, but the show has got it all. Even the main female actress is not a little, fluffy girl, but a real ass-kicking scientist-soldier. I also like the way T’ealc (sp?) and O’Neil play off each other, or how O’Neil plays off of T’ealc.
Ha, that time loop episode really was excellent. I never seem to be able to catch the show as often as I’d like… Fridays I’m doing other things, and sports always intervenes on Fox here. Like I really want to watch Nascar instead of SG-1.
