My take – it’s gotta be better than ST2. Casper is back as Colonel John Rico. Must not have much pull – he could only get his wife cast as “Technician #2.”
So, anybody willing to put aside the travesty done to the memory of RAH and simply enjoy (or not) this as a cheesy direct-to-DVD flick?

I will put it in my online queue. When it arrives, I will close all the shades and enjoy it as the guilty pleasure it will be.
Please note that I will turn all Heinlein books upside down so that I do not even think about associating something that is one step from a sci-fi channel orginal movie with the work of RAH.
But, with the help of alcohol, I WILL probably enjoy it for the cheese that it is.

OK - perhaps a drinking game for each time a specific treasured bit of Heinlein’s book is used (such as “on the bounce,” or “its a good day to die,” or “you apes wanna live forever?”).
One slight hopeful bit - the video shows what MIGHT be an actual powered armor suit. Dare we hope that they will bring in The Suit?
There was a Starship Troopers 2? I hope I didn’t miss anything important.
The second one went off on a tangent, was set at an outpost on some distant world and was, iirc, more or less a knock off of Campbell’s “Who Goes There?” and Finney’s “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” None of the characters from the first one appeared, and the bugs only appeared briefly. This one, “Marauder,” appears to ne more of a straight sequel to the first, though I did notice one of the little basketball sized pods from #2 in the trailer.
