Howdy Y’all! Been a lazy day here at da cave. Outside of makin’ sup, that is. If’n I do say so myself, the beef stroganoff was teh nummy! We have not had it for a loooooooooong time, so that just added to the numminess. Anywho, leftovers for tomorrow’s N.O.L. That was the excitatement of the day. Tboomers all around as I post but none actually right here at da cave.

I concur with doggio and swampy (that won’t be happening again anytime soon…) in the choice of wordy. And has one who bathes 3-4 times a week (in my defense I don’t work and don’t go out in public without proper cleaning), 3-4 days is getting pretty…ripe.

Cookie, I got one of those on my E-mail this week; the first one I got months ago did scare me a bit (they did have a password from a site, it was also what I used to unlock my computer–changed them all). Now they go right to trash and eternity.
Nappage this afternoon, did make 2 gallons of Kool-Aid while Cheesebooger was cooking and also cleared the dishwasher. That was enough excitement for today, so internettin’ and readin’ are due before retiring to bed.
It’s a dark 73 degrees outside, supposed to be cloudy all day with a high of 84.
Up earlier than I needed to be so just waiting until it’s time to leave for the park.
Before I go I need to dust the vacuum cleaning I am taking for one of my friends there.
I forgot to check the filter to see if it is clean, but too late for that now as it takes a while to dry.

This mornin’ I need to accomplish a couple of errands, so I shall. Beyond that who knows what the day may hold. Sup shall be majik intertoobz pizza and sallit, just cause.

Another dreary day, tho we *might *see a few rays of sunshine this afternoon. I’ve got some laundry to do, but none will hang outside, alas! I may also push the vacuum cleaner around.
We had a little sun late yesterday afternoon, but it is back to overcast again this morning. Just another routine day ahead with back to back service calls.
Home early from the park, as none of the other regulars showed up.
Two other dogs we know were there, they just are regulars. So the pups got to play a little.
Lucy’s dad said he thinks people may still be quarantining themselves because in the afternoons and evenings the park is still pretty empty.
It may just be that a lot of people don’t know it’s open as the governor said they wouldn’t open until June 6. Most of us who are going either called the park people or are on the fb page.
It’s very hot outside, temps are still in the 70s, but the sun is shining (so much for cloudy) and the humidity is high.
I think I can safely wash my coat now.
**sari **- I looked at the extended forecast and I fear my hunch has come true - we jumped from chilly and unpleasant to freekin’ humid! I had to close the house and turn on the a/c. If I’m uncomfortable, I know everyone else is in agony.
Morning all. Up early again, I’m going to try and avoid nappage so I can get to bed at a reasonable hour (10:30pm is reasonable, isn’t it?) and sleep later than 6am. Nothing on the schedule today, we just had the morning rain-shower, temp is supposed to reach 80F again, normal spring day in Norht Ali-bama.
boo fae, that’s a little too much excitement for my old bones…glad no one was hurt.
**FCD **is sleeping (thank goodness!!) and SIL has Roxy downstairs. I’m about halfway thru laundry. It’s looking like it wants to rain, despite the 10% precip forecast. I want a nap.
I’m usually dressed more warmly than everybody else, so if I felt like I was melting I’m sure everybody else would have been uncomfortable.
I may start going earlier, we saw Stella this morning and found out she is coming early. Lucy has started coming later so we have been running into her almost everyday.
Poor Lucy, she lived at the shelter from 6 months old until she was 2, she doesn’t know how to play with other dogs and she mostly doesn’t like them. My two stay away from her but this morning Lucy was there along with Stella. They were waiting at the gate for my two, all of them excited, and you would have though the way they acting they were going to kill each other. Even Lucy joined in today.
As much as my dogs don’t interact with her, they still get sad when she leaves.
I woke up at 3am, only 4 hours sleep last night, so I foresee a nap later today. I should be doing something with the yard.
Still haven’t heard from Home Depot.

I’m back in Chrome on my phone (hey, that made kind of a rhyme!) and it’s like sleeping in your old college dorm room again or something. It’s the digital equivalent of cinderblock shelves.

In all the excitement, I forgot what I had to say … ?
Well, I have the day off. Supposed to warm up into mid or hi 80s, so I shall spend the afternoon down in the basement with my ratties, or possibly at the grocery store. I bitched to my parents about importing the humidity from TX with me, and they may be helping me pay for a window unit, which would be a GAWDsend although I suspect I’ll need to find a friendly neighbor or coworker to help me put it in place.
Lessee, what’s on the ol’ to-do list. Pretzel needs her meds, next rat group needs their tub cleaned, and I have got to change the sheets. Which means laundry. Dammit, for a day off I have to actually do stuff! <pout> What happened to lying around or sitting on my ass?
What else? Oh. My former I.T. Guy are still close, and he sent me a few funny pot-themed shirts and tank tops for my birthday, so I don’t have to wear the boring store shirt every day. My fave so far says, “I smoke [weed leaf] and I know stuff.” It summarizes me well!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. a big thunderstorm came through at 0600. It’s cloudy and humid out Alex Catt is on THE LIST. She hornked on the printer this moring. And last night she was sitting on me, cleaning herself. She reached too far, tipped over, spazzed, and now my torso, leg, and arm look like I got into a drunken fight with a Weedeater.
That’s Gordie. Oddly enough, his BFF was a 180lbs. GSD that didn’t like other dogs either.
Carpenters are here today. They arrived about an hour ago and are doing their thing. I’m holed up in my bedroom (lol like that’s different from any other day) with the dog trying to stay out of the way.
Been a rough week tbh. Par for the course, though, I guess. I don’t really see any reason at this point to expect a future where there are any non-rough weeks.
