Start of summer MMP

“30lbs. 9 month old Jack Russell.”:smack: I was owner #3(it usually take him 10 minutes and 6 cookies for him to warm up to people)

Did the Hockey Zoom Pub Crawl. My one friend’s parakeets started chirping, and Alex started running around looking for the “birbs”

Happy Saturday!

It is a bit chilly this morning.
Of course it is, I washed all my hoodies yesterday and left them on the rack to dry. They are not dry, I’m hoping they won’t take too long in the dryer.

Well another coincidence Doggio, Lucy’s owner is her third owner.
Don’t understand it at all, she is yellow lab mix (the shelter says pit bull, I say husky, as she has a husky tail and eyes), very sweet and cuddly with her owners. Doesn’t like other dogs, but she just ignores them, totally loves cats and kids.
Maybe they were just waiting for the right person to come along.

My son is not going to be happy, but today is rearrange the furniture day. He’s had his two weeks off since school ended, now it’s time to get to irk around here.
He has been helpful what with making dinner every night for the last week, but time to get into the hard stuff now. After all the rain we had yesterday, today would be a good day to dig up all the bricks in the patio. He wanted to do that last summer but he took summer classes and didn’t have time.

It’s going to be a busy day I think.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 90 with patches of fog early, widely scattered rain/tstorms/apocalypse maybe this mornin’, then mostly cloudy for the day. I think TWPTB are just makin’ stuff up now. The big plan of the day, as I mentioned last night, is to watch the Ordination/Consecration of our new Bishop on teh youtubes this mornin’. Was hopin’ for some quality cee-mint pond time this afternoon, but who knows. Any need to feed today will be via forage. All kinds of sammich makin’s, chips and so forth.

Wordy glad your son got in some irl contact with his baseball buds.

Sari a couple of weeks ago we had in mind to rearrange the livin’ room. We did and then put it all back the way it was. We be weird.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

The restaurants here were given the OK for dine in service a few weeks ago with restrictions of maintaining 6 feet separations and only 50% of their listed occupancy. So far, not very many places have opened, depending on drive through or curbside carry out. We have been getting drive through once in a while and taking it to the park for a mini picnic. One of the few local places that have opened for dine in is a sports bar a couple of miles from home. It was a nice afternoon yesterday so we walked down there for dinner. Every other table is covered by a tarp and there are no condiments or menus on the tables. The food was pretty good as always. Sunflower had a cheeseburger and I had a Reuben. The walk back was nice too.

I kinda figured it was deliberate. I’ve had cow-orkers and meetings like that.

I believe you mean decapitated - flinging them out a window wouldn’t accomplish much, unless there was a giant vacuum cleaner with a buzz saw just outside the window.

FCD’s meds come at 11 and 5, day and night, so the alarm woke us at 5 this morning so he could be dosed. I was able to drift in and out of sleep for a couple of hours after he was drugged, then I gave up and showered and dressed. We’ve breakfasted and we did a little walk outside. It’s a loverly morning, but I fear the heat will return. Dammit.

I’ve got to mow, either today or tomorrow. The lawn is out of control, thanks to the rain and the warmth. Daughter has a commission to do the Senior photos for her school’s graduaters (all 5 of them) and I don’t know if it’s today or tomorrow, but I get custody of Roxy while she’s doing that. That will determine when I mow.

No other plans, but I do need to push the vacuum around. I *really *need to push the carpet cleaner around, tho that’s close to a fool’s errand. Between the dogs, the cats, and the toddler, the carpet doesn’t stay clean for very long. But it’s looking pretty gross right now, so I may relent.

Meanwhile, we shall see how things go.

Happy Saturday!

Morning all. 69F heading for 81F with no rain expected and the same 4cast for Sunday, so Sunday mowage is on track. Nothing much planned, but we’ll see if I can self-motivate enough to take a walk or two.

FCM, you’re right of course, but I just think defenestrate is such a cool word I use it wherever… Will also push the Hoover about some today.

Hippy, I noticed that the tables at Longhorn Steakhouse last Sunday were bare of condiments and the menus were disposable. Planning to go to Olive Garden tomorrow, we’ll see if their precautions are similar.

Swampy, enjoy Ordinating/Consecrating today.

Shoe, I’m confused (not an unusual status). I thought you had rats because you have a large snake and…ick. But it sounds like these are more pets than fodder.

Sunny, best wishes to your FIL.

And probably too early to eat my brunch, but I’m hungry so need to forage. All y’all take care.

Huh, Zoo meetings sound perfectly normal to me

Another warm and sunny day here. I kinda want to go out for a long walk, but I also kinda don’t, because it’s a bit too hot. The coastline- or at least the reasonably accessible bits- will be heaving with people, and I don’t feel I should add to that right now, though I really want to go for a paddle in the sea… I might give it a go on Monday, when it should be a bit quieter, as we’re predicted to be warm until at least midweek. I’ll make do with a short work in the woods for now.

Hola!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, towels in the wash, puppy crate cleaned and will purtify once KP is done so that I may go get the oil changed and grocery shop. After that, who knows? (likely a dog park trip :stuck_out_tongue: )

In two Zoo meetings with different groups of tech people, the other guys had their video turned off. Why not just have a conference call? Were the other guys sitting around in their underwear, smoking and drinking margaritas?

This morning I did my stretching as sat in the predawn darkness at the ladder on the edge of the pool. Against the underwater tiles I saw a fish quickly swimming. Well, there are no fish in the pool so I followed it. A mouse! I must have disturbed him as he was having a drink. I got my towel and lowered into the water. The mouse climbed up and was saved. He had rounded ears and a too-long tail, just as a desert rat ought to have.

This was the most important thing I did all day.

Coming up on eight of the clock. One more cuppa joe, and then I’ll climb up on the roof to sprinkle moss killer before it rains.

MetalMouse The Olive Gardens have opened here, but Longhorn has not. Only one of our usual Sunday morning breakfast places are open.

I’m sure that your karma is better for your action.

Oh please don’t just start using ‘zoo meeting’ for zoom; I’m on the board of trustees for an actual zoo, you know, with furry 'n scaly animals who don’t need underwear and can’t operate a camera (I mean the zoo residents, not the other trustees). We regularly meet online on a variety of services (but not, to date, zoom).

I’m confused enough as it is nowadays…

I really like “zoo meetings”
dammit.

You could always get a zoo?

Or I could just start referring to the aktual zoo meetings as zoom meetings and spread the bewilderment around a bit?

This afternoon, I appear to be mostly wrangling the sewing machine. I took part of it to bits last time I used it, and now I can’t get the tension right. I coulda hand-sewed the stoopit thing by now, but nooo…

Up, caffeinated, and shelved. I changed the bed sheets, and walked Gordie. Mr. “I have the boundless energy of a six month old pup” realized he’s also “I have the joints of an 80 year old man”… He’s out for a few hours.

Are you sure?

Stormy weather this morning.

Neighbor guy is coming home today. The other daughter is flying in from San Antonio. :smack:

10Q.

Got the Moss-B-Ware on the roof. First sprinkles started as I was getting off the ladder.
