A short but cool video clip. The guy with the camera had it pointed right at the volcano at the moment when it erupted; you can even see the shockwave moving across the sky before it hits. Fortunately they were far enough way that it apparently didn’t do any harm.
Wow! The ripple moving through the clouds and then when it hits…
Very cool!
That totally fucking rocked!
That visible shockwave is my favorite part I think.
Mine, too.
Thanks for posting this- it was exceptionally cool.
I hope the crew in the much closer cargo ship were OK too!
That is a hell of a cool video though.
Whoa.
Thanks for sharing that.
Cool plus, seeing the wave and …boom
Thanks for posting that.
Obviously a controlled demolition via directed energy weapon. Wake up, sheeple.
Dude, I think it is called “After Effects”. Really people, Photoshop is not the only product Adobe makes.
cool, thanks for posting it
I love how, with the proliferation of handheld cameras these days, a lot of things that used to just happen in nature usually without anyone around are being captured on film
So the blast appears to start 12 seconds in and the shock appears to hit the camera at 25 seconds in. How far away does that put the camera?
With speed of sound being ~340 m/s you’d be looking at a distance of 4km.
Vulcanology can be a dangerous profession, especially during Pon-Farr…
I surprised you couldn’t see any effect of the shock traveling over the water toward the camera person, not even ripples.
