I see your point, but my thought is that you won’t have to remember this thread. He’ll provide you with fresh evidence at that time. See, every thread with Starving for Attention is like this one.
Or in other words, his posts are your cite.

I must say, it’s a new take on why someone won’t engage with my factual refutations.
See, Tao’s Revenge, I told you he was going to blame his rude behavior on how mean the liberals are. Anything he says, no matter how horrible, hyperbolic, or unsupported by facts, is justified because we’ve said such bad things about conservatives. And so it goes.
Fascinating thread. SA - Are you “disinclined to respond” to short factual posts? Because I’d also like to see your response to Lance Turbo’s cite.
This is just what I thought about his last post!
Yes, everyone is so, so mean to conservative posters around here. Just the other day, Sam Stone had to leave to get more tissues to wipe his tears away. Oh wait - he actually uses facts and logic to make his points. Nevermind.
If we were gratuitously mean to conservatives, we’d say stuff like:
“Liberals cheered and encouraged abortions themselves, rather than portraying them as a last, regrettable alternative, and reviling anyone who feels abortion is wrong.”
The insults are for the most part only heaped upon people who deserve them: loons, pompous twits, and lying liars. Amazingly, you’re all three.
Translation: I refuse to be confronted with facts that prove my delusional truth-impaired world view is the fictitious sham that it is.
Suggestion: amend thread title to “Starving Artist has issues”.
I think you have. IMO, **Smashie **is… vigorously clueless about many things (in a cute, college anarchist kind of way), but a racist he isn’t.
Yeah, I know. It was a joke - I was riffing on this:
I’m amazed that so many people find this position new and notable. It’s been a key part of Starving Artist’s method of debate since he joined this board. I don’t think i’ve ever come across someone with such a tenuous relationship to facts and truth.
New and notable? No, I gave up trying to reason with him long ago. Right now I’m just pointing and laughing, especially when he makes these kinds of admissions himself.
Mattingly! I thought I told you to trim those sideburns.
Fair enough.
It is intriguing when he gives us a glimpse into the thought processes behind his mendacity.
You left out the scare quotes on that bit.
Whoooo! I neglected to check this thread yesterday and look what I missed, a totally spectacular flame! My husband pointed this out to me when he caught up with the thread.
Starving Artist, I don’t care what you think of me. I think you’re a fool and a half. Your insults are as foolish as (most of) the rest of your opinions. They make me chuckle with amusement at best, and roll my eyes and mutter “idiot” at worst. I may be a “big, fat, gray-haired old biddy” (damn, are you in junior high?) but at least I don’t believe that the Beatles and liberals caused the downfall of society. You’re a silly person.
That said, and with the caveat that I’m not saying the following because of your rant, but because I gave it some thought and came to this conclusion yesterday but hadn’t had a chance to catch up with the thread and post until now,
I apologize to you. I only made the tenuous connection because those freepers seemed to be the type of people who pined for the Luci Baines Johnson days when a First Daughter wore white gloves in public, and not a t-shirt and shorts, and especially not a t-shirt with the uh, horrifically offensive peace symbol on it. The very basis of their rants, alongside racism, was wanting a return to the good old days when even presidents who were Democrats, besides having the good sense to unrepentantly bomb the shit out of other countries like a real man, had daughters who knew their place and how to dress in public. It was that side, not the racism side, that I was connecting you with. I apologize because I insulted you without articulating why, and the two got understandably mixed up. Plus I had no idea how you felt about Malia Obama and would not have said that had I known of your regard for her.
Even though you think that blacks had it better before the civil rights era, I can’t say I think you’re an actual racist, just a willfully ignorant person. So while I just insulted you again, I do apologize for most of post #164, both for the Malia connection, and for the racism connection. (the Audra Shay part of the post has yet to be determined, and stands as is)
Now, THAT said, I still find it amusing that you focused your ire on me with a very colorful meltdown when, as GIGObuster pointed out (thanks!) I had said that I would “not at all be surprised” rather than stating it as some sort of certainty. Not that I blame you based on what you’ve written since, but I do find it interesting that you didn’t feel it necessary to condemn those bastions of gentility and decorum over at Free Republic.
The liberals made them do it?
Everyone knows the greatest period in human history was the late '80s/early '90s. The fact that this was the time of my own childhood development is only a happy coincidence.
Yes, your theory is clearly correct, as my own data confirms it. [The fact that we are about a week apart in age is also mere coincidence]
The late 80’s to early 90’s is basically my 20’s. So I would agree with **marshmallow **and **Indistinguishable **… if I could remember any of it.
I was gonna bring up Lizzie Borden, but apparently she was late 19th rather than early 20th. That unpolished time before the polite time that preceded the utmostly rude hippy time.
Dammit, I hate it when the facts get in the way of a joke.
What makes you think Lizzie Borden was a lesbian?
